The original words. (these ones are under the sketch of Chikane and Byakuya's dad and continuing down to the sketches of the other three under it.)
Q: And the one called Soujun Kuchiki (Kuchiki Soujun)
Kubo: Byakuya's father, but he already died.
Q: Is it because of a fight?
Kubo: *Yes. Normally he wouldn't have proceeded to battle, but because he is (from the) Kuchiki family he had talent, he was concerned about Ginrei and even though his body was weak and couldn't proceed to battle he "had to become the next head of the family" so he became a lieutenant. But after all he died.
Of course he had a *plan/device, right?
Kubo: He had abilities, but I should say he was a rather quiet/obedient, amazing, kind person.
*When Kubo explains about Soujun and about his death, that was a pain in the ass to translate. It's not completely right I don't think. I tried my best to make it make sense in English. But this should be the "basic idea." Kubo talks a bit strange to me. I'm unfamilar with the way he speaks (I understand Osakans better than Kubo and some Japanese people have trouble understanding Osakans). I'm not a pro, so other people that know Japanese correct me.
Ok, the (saikaku) according to my dictionary says it means ready wit, raising (money), plan, or device. I haven't seen this used in a sentence, and Kubo's response makes me more confused to this question. Unless it's actually two seperate words. Besides that, I'm completely confused on this word. I'm more confident on the other sentences than this question.
The Third Division member called Chikane Iba (Iba Chiaken), is Iba's mother?
Kubo: It's his mother. I drew a *Gokutsuma type of image. A Hiroshima dialect since it's Iba's mother. So Rose entered that Third division at the time as a newcomer, and since the nice Rose as I should say is timid and not really the type of guy to do anything, Chikane would be the one to kick his ass.
But this Third Squad around this time is different from when Gin was the captain isn't it? But the Third Squad's dignity is "despair."
Kubo: Surely you can say the same for Rose as well. Gin may be the best captain up until now that represents the Third Squad's dignity "despair." I'd say he's more like the Third Squad.
That's right, when Gin came in suddenly the atmosphere changed.
Kubo: It became a dangerous atmosphere (laughs).
*This one was also annoying. Byakuya's dad was easier.
In the interview, Kubo used the term Gokutsuma . I don't know what/who it is. I was surprised for Kubo to use the word けつ. I really does mean "ass!" On top of that, it was written in katakana which in this case adds emphasis or swearing. Amazing to me because the Japanese don't really use terms like this because their so polite (they're so obsessed about favors and all that that you can't mention you helping them).
I didn't translate this. I didn't know what the subject is.
I skipped some words when translating like when Kubo was explaning Gin and the Third Division. Doing a translations one thing, but making it into English is harder (sorry for saying this twice). What I meant to say while translating this is that Gin is very fitting to be the captain of the Third Squad. That's the impretion I get when I read this.
I'm translating Hanatarou's brother next and a little bit about the other characters when I wake up in a few hours. Now just something quick.
Q: Later, the zero division Hikifune went under is a *special duty isn't it? That *royal family, hereafter will it appear?
Kubo: It's plans to appear.
*王属特務 (Ouzokutokumu) If it was written as 王族 (ouzoku) it'd be 'royalty' and 特務 (tokumu) means "special duty," but is this how it was written in the manga? In other words, is this what is called the royal family? I don't have the volume in raw yet, so I don't know.
